Govardhan Eco Village Project

We, at Bajaj, understand the importance of a sustainable environment, and it has been inculcated in our system right from the beginning. Our commitment towards a Green and Clean India is seen through our community initiatives such as mass-scale tree plantation through our employee volunteering and partnering with like-minded NGO partners in PAN India location.

In this instance, we have partnered with Govardhan Eco Village for a project on long term sustainable organic farming model. The main objective of this initiative was to create a demonstration model in order to help marginal farmers learn and replicate on their own lands. Through this initiative, additional income sources would be created by intercropping different varieties of fruits and herbs in a sustainable manner, which will improve the standard and quality of living of the poor tribal families and provide them with market linkages. 

The focus of the project was to create awareness among the local farmers, train them to become self-sufficient and to give them a better livelihood in the long run. Cooperation from our employees and the villagers ensured that the project was a success.
